Counselors' Corner

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you and your families. My name is Elena Melekos and I am the proud, school counselor at Sandshore School! I am very excited and honored to be joining this amazing team of educators and staff, and I look forward to meeting your children and getting to work closely with them throughout the year!

This year is going to be fun filled with learning, growing and lots of adventures. My main goal in counseling is to provide students with a strong foundation of confidence and knowledge so they can approach this ever-changing world with an open and productive mind. A counselor is not only an instructor, but a mentor entrusted with the character development of young impressionable minds. It is my mission as their school counselor to foster and support the academic, career, social and emotional development of all Sandshore School students.

My goal is for the students to think of my office as a warm and friendly place, where they are always welcome!
